Blue Wildebeest

A dark, cattle-like antelope which like to move in larger herds of 20 to 30 animals.
Blue Wildebeest seasonally moves in search of good grazing and very large herds
are sometimes formed.
Both sexes are horned, horns reaching an average length of 22 inches (58 centimetres).
Males are much heavier than females, weighing on average 550 pounds (250 kilograms),
while females weigh about 390 pounds (177 kilograms).
The Blue Wildebeest has a long-haired black tail as well as black hair on the face,
throat and neck. It lives in open bushveld with sufficient water and short grass.
It is prey to lion, cheetah and leopard.
