The Buffalo is a large, dark, cattle-like animal. Adult males are greyish black in colour, while females are lighter with hints of reddish brown in their skins. Both sexes are horned, with males boasting escecially large horns with thick bosses. Horns measure about 93 inches (99 centimetres). Buffalos like mud baths and usually stay close to water, as they drink regularly. Male Buffalos can weigh anything between 1700 to 1800 pounds (about 780 to 820 kilgrams). Lions are enemies of the Buffalo.
