Impala

The Impala is a medium-sized antelope with a distinctive reddish-brown colour. It is a swift runner and graceful jumper, jumping 120 inches (3 metres) high and 480 inches (12 metres) far.
Males have lyre-shaped horns with an average length of about 19 inches (50 centimetres). It stands about 35 inches (87 centimetres) high at the shoulder and weighs between 103 to 180 pounds (47 to 82 kilograms).
The belly and chest of the Impala is cream-white and it has 3 distinctive black stripes on the buttocks.
Impala feed mainly on grass and leaves and lives in well-wooded areas.
Territorial male Impalas lead groups of 15 to 20 females during mating season, while other males form batchelor herds.
Enemies include python, spotted hyena, lion and cheetah.
