Lion

This yellow brown animal is the largest of Africa's cat family. Males are much larger than females and have manes that vary from a light brown to black colour .
An adult male weighs between 396 to 528 pounds (180 to 240 kilograms).
Lion are social and forms prides consisting of 3 to 12 animals, though larger prides are often seen. Lionesses hunt in groups at night, moving against the wind and suddenly attacking the prey.
One to four cubs are born during the year after a gestation period of about 3½ months. They have characteristic spots which disappear as they amture.
Lion adapts in most types of habitat with sufficient prey and have a llife expectancy of more or less 20 years.
